Organic Safflower oil linoleic cold pressed
The use of organic safflower oil in the cosmetics industry
Unlike the oleic acid-rich (high-oleic; a monounsaturated fatty acid) organic safflower oil, this variant of safflower oil stands out due to its high content of the polyunsaturated linoleic acid, hence the addition “Linoleic.” The linoleic acid, which is not contained in any other plant oil to this extent as in linoleic organic safflower oil, is said to support skin compatibility. In the cosmetics industry, linoleic safflower oil is therefore used in soap making, as a re-fatting ingredient in shower gels and bath oils, or as a care oil for sensitive skin around the eyes as well as in creams for sensitive combination skin.
