On the cosmetics market, there are different INCI names that suggest different origins.
The species Rosa Canina, also known as dog rose or hedge rose, is considered the European representative of wild roses, whose oil is labeled with the INCI "ROSA CANINA SEED EXTRACT." Rose hip seed oil with the INCI "ROSA MOSCHATA SEED OIL" is associated with an origin from Chile. However, the latter has no CAS or EINECS number.
From a cosmetic perspective, a distinction is not necessary. All variants of organic rose hip seed oil are a real enrichment for your cosmetic products.
