We are proud supporters of the Alliance for Development and Climate Foundation, to further promote our focus on sustainability.

The foundation is based on the Paris Climate Agreement and the 2030 Agenda, in which the global community formulated 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). These 17 goals combine social, economic, and environmental aspects that aim to make a worthwhile and dignified life possible for everyone. Achieving these goals requires a collective effort—government action alone is not enough. Private actors such as businesses, civil society, associations, institutions, and academia must also contribute. With this premise in mind, the foundation was established in 2018. Since then, it has gained support from over 1,200 partners.

The foundation’s climate protection projects in developing and emerging countries aim to achieve climate neutrality while also fulfilling at least one additional SDG, such as food security or access to affordable and clean energy, clean water, or quality healthcare.

Greenhouse gas emissions should be avoided or, if unavoidable, drastically reduced and simultaneously offset. These projects serve the sustainability triad: environmental protection, strengthening economic development, and improving living conditions for all. In 2020 alone, supporters of the Alliance offset more than 3.6 million tons of CO₂, equivalent to the annual emissions of over 400,000 EU citizens.
