Organic Apricot kernel oil cold pressed

Organic Apricot kernel oil and its use in the food industry

The Organic Apricot kernel oil, sometimes simply called apricot oil or marill kernel oil, is a particularly high-quality edible oil for the food industry and food trade.

The nutty taste of Organic Apricot kernel oil unfolds especially in sweet dishes, desserts such as cakes, panna cotta and fruit yoghurts, and dessert sauces, with a full-bodied marzipan aroma that melts on the tongue.

Because we keep our Organic Apricot kernel oil native to preserve the taste and aroma substances, it is not suitable for frying or deep-frying.

What are the ingredients of the Organic Apricot kernel oil?

The Organic Apricot kernel oil for the food industry provides a high content of unsaturated fatty acids, especially omega-6 fatty acids. These fatty acids cannot be produced by the body and must be obtained through food.

Interesting facts

Originally, the apricot tree probably came from Manchuria (China) to Armenia. It was cultivated in Italy as early as Roman times. Thus, the Latin name translates as “Armenian plum.”

The apricot tree grows about three to four meters high and blooms in pale pink to white. The apricot fruit is a velvety, orange-red ball with longitudinal grooves.

The kernels of the apricot, used to produce Organic Apricot kernel oil, are very hard and about three cm long. Inside are the softer, almond-like seeds, from which the Organic Apricot kernel oil is cold-pressed.
