Organic Chamomile Oil Blue Recutita
The blue chamomile oil is obtained through steam distillation of the flowers of true chamomile. Chamomile is one of the best-known and most commonly used medicinal plants. The blue chamomile oil is considered particularly healing and, compared to oils from other chamomile species (like Roman chamomile oil), has the most intense scent.
In naturopathy, the antiseptic and anti-inflammatory properties of blue chamomile oil are important. It is said to soothe itchy, eczema-affected skin and support wound healing. In addition to its use in dermatological conditions, some natural healers describe its effect on relieving headaches or gastrointestinal complaints. It is also used for inflammations of the mucous membranes in the respiratory tract and oral cavity. The chamomile oil is nicknamed “mother herb oil” because midwives have long used it for care during and after childbirth.
The cosmetics industry uses blue chamomile oil in creams and lotions for its fragrance and skin-soothing properties, especially for sensitive or irritated skin.
In the food industry, its use is rare but possible, for example, in flavoring liqueurs.
In aromatherapy, oil from true chamomile is said to calm restlessness and nervousness and help restore emotional balance.
Blue chamomile oil blends well with Arven, Bergamot, Dill, Lavandin, or Lavender.
