Organic Elderberry Oil Cold Pressed
The use of organic elderberry oil in the cosmetics industry
Organic elderberry oil is a popular ingredient in creams, care oils, and lotions for sensitive, irritated, inflamed skin, as it is soothing and non-greasy. Due to the high content of linolenic and alpha-linolenic acid, the elderberry oil is skin-compatible and is said to gently and sustainably care for stressed, damaged skin without feeling unpleasant on the skin. Because of these great properties, elderberry oil is also a popular ingredient for soothing eczema-prone skin.
To gently remove dead skin flakes, add our elderberry seed scrub to our elderberry oil.
Interesting facts
The black elderberry is a densely-leaved shrub or tree that can grow up to 7 meters high. The trunk has a fissured, gray-colored bark. The branches are filled with white pith. Young branches are initially green, later becoming light gray. The leaves appear long before the blossoms. The five-petaled flowers are white or chamois-colored and have an intense scent. The small flowers form umbrella-shaped panicles up to 30 cm in diameter. Elderberry blooms from May to July. The berries ripen between August and September. Ripe berries are shiny black. Inside them are the seeds important for the production of elderberry oil.
Our organic elderberry oil is obtained by cold pressing the elderberry seeds followed by filtration.
