Use of refined almond oil in the cosmetics industry
Our refined organic sweet almond oil has a light yellow color and a neutral scent, thanks to the refining process.
In the cosmetics industry, refined sweet almond oil is popular in skin and hair care products. Thanks to its stability and neutral profile, it may be suitable for formulations intended for dry and sensitive skin, as well as for hair care products. Refined sweet almond oil can also be incorporated into formulations for massage oils, bath oils, lip care products, ointments, creams, and baby care products.
The almonds (raw material) come from certified organic farming and are harvested in the fall. After removing the shells and drying the kernels, the oil is extracted and then refined to remove impurities. We also offer cold-pressed organic sweet almond oil for cosmetic use.
Interesting things
The almond tree belongs to the Rosaceae family and is believed to originate from West Asia and the Middle East. Today, almonds are grown worldwide, with the United States (California) ranking first in almond production, followed by Spain and Australia. Due to their high oil content, almonds and almond oil are used in numerous food and cosmetic products.
