Use of organic soybean oil in the cosmetics industry
The cosmetics industry mostly uses soybean oil as a carrier oil for active ingredients, especially fat-soluble plant compounds, vitamins, or essential oils. Therefore, it can be used as a base for ointments, creams, or bath oils. Since soybean oil is easily absorbed by the skin without leaving an unpleasant residue, it is said to protect the skin from moisture loss. Additionally, soybean oil is said to have a positive effect on cracked and itchy skin.

Glycine soja is considered the wild form of Glycine max. Glycine max is an annual herb. The stem is upright, more or less strongly branched, usually 40–90 cm high and hairy. The leaves are trifoliate, large, and also densely hairy. The flowers are inconspicuous, violet to whitish, and very short-stalked. Soja max bears 1–4 seeds.
