The use of organic avocado oil, refined, in the cosmetics industry
Light yellow to slightly greenish in color, our refined, certified organic avocado oil has a neutral taste and odor.
Refined avocado oil is often used in products for dry skin and hair due to its stability, neutral color, and scent. Creams, lotions, massage oils, soaps, shampoos, and other hair care products can benefit from the properties of organic refined avocado oil.
The entire avocado fruit, including the skin and pit, is cold-pressed to extract the oil. Afterward, the avocado oil is filtered and refined. We also offer unrefined, cold-pressed avocado oil for both the cosmetics and food industries.
Interesting facts
Spanish sailors spread this fruit from southern Mexico to the Caribbean, Chile, and later to Asia. Mexico remains the leading exporter to this day, supplying nearly half of the volume of avocados traded.
The avocado is a fist-sized fruit with dark green-red skin, inside of which is flesh surrounding a round pit. The pulp is suitable not only for producing avocado oil, but also for raw consumption. The pit accounts for up to 12% of the fruit.
