Organic Rosehip seed oil (Moschata), Chile, refined

Our refined rosehip seed oil (organic) has a pale golden-yellow color and a neutral aroma.

Refined rosehip seed oil, sourced from organic farming, naturally contains a high proportion of polyunsaturated fatty acids, including linoleic acid and alpha-linolenic acid. Depending on the refining process, the levels of certain natural components, such as tocopherols and carotenoids, may be lower compared to cold-pressed rosehip seed oil from the Moschata variety.

Thanks to its light texture, refined rosehip seed oil spreads easily and absorbs quickly, without leaving a greasy residue. Its light color and neutral scent make it a versatile ingredient in cosmetic formulations for face, body, hair, hand, and nail care, as well as in massage oils. 

The oil is obtained from organically grown Rosa moschata rosehip seeds in Chile. After cold pressing and filtration, the oil is refined. We also offer organic cold-pressed rosehip seed oil (Rosa rubiginosa) and organic rosehip seed oil for food applications.

Interesting things

The wild rose (rose hip) is a tall shrub with drooping branches and crescent-shaped thorns. The leaves are pinnate; the flowers grow on short, smooth stems and are pink in color.

Rose hips are red, round to oval in shape, and are, in fact, only the fleshy outer layer of the fruit. The true fruits of the rose hip are the sharp, shiny, stone-hard seeds found inside the fleshy outer layer.
