The use of organic Brazil nut oil in the cosmetics industry
Organic Brazil nut oil is recognizable both by its light yellow color and its characteristic nutty scent.
The presence of unsaturated fatty acids, along with their moisturizing properties, makes Brazil nut oil a commonly used ingredient in skin care products. Our organic Brazil nut oil is also used in hair care formulas, such as shampoos, conditioners, hair serums, and styling products/creams.
Our organic Brazil nut oil is obtained by cold-pressing shelled and finely chopped nuts. The oil is then decanted.
Interesting facts
The Brazil nut tree, which can grow up to 50 meters tall, has a large trunk and a broad crown. The fruit of the Brazil nut tree has a triangular cross-section and contains Brazil nuts, which are often eaten as a snack.
From these nuts, also called Brazil nuts, organic Brazil nut oil is extracted by cold pressing, and then organic Brazil nut flour is obtained. The gentle pressing process preserves the valuable components of the Brazil nut in our oil.
Demand for Brazil nuts is on the rise, but production remains almost entirely dependent on the Amazon rainforest. Currently, the world’s leading producers are Bolivia, Peru, and Brazil.
