Organic Jojoba seed oil, cold-pressed
Our organic jojoba seed oil is a golden-yellow liquid with a distinctive aroma.
Unlike most vegetable oils, jojoba oil contains liquid wax esters that have a structure similar to that of human sebum. That is why it is so highly valued in the cosmetics industry.
Organic jojoba oil is widely used as a cosmetic ingredient in hair care and styling products, such as shampoos, hair oils, pomades, styling lotions, and hair sprays. Jojoba oil is also frequently used in decorative cosmetics, including lipsticks and makeup products. In skincare formulations, organic jojoba oil is commonly used in soaps, creams, beard care products, after-sun products, and face masks.
Organic jojoba oil is obtained by grinding and cold-pressing the ripe seeds of the jojoba shrub (Simmondsia chinensis). We also offer cold-pressed jojoba oil (conventional).
Interesting things
Native to the deserts of North America, the jojoba plant (Simmondsia chinensis) is well adapted to hot, dry climates. Today, in addition to the United States, it is also cultivated in other countries such as Argentina, Israel, Mexico, and Peru. The United States is the world’s leading producer.
