The use of organic canola oil in the cosmetics industry
Our refined organic canola (rapeseed) oil has a light yellow color and a neutral odor.
In cosmetic applications, canola oil is frequently used as an emollient in formulas designed for dry and rough skin. Thanks to its fatty acid composition, which includes oleic acid and linoleic acid, refined canola oil is a valued ingredient in skin care products.
Our organic canola (rapeseed) oil is obtained from the seeds of the Canola 00 variety, which is characterized by a very low erucic acid content. After pressing, the oil undergoes filtration and refining processes to achieve a neutral odor and color, as well as improved stability for cosmetic applications.
We also offer cold-pressed organic canola oil for cosmetic use, as well as organic refined canola oil suitable for food applications.
Interesting facts
Rapeseed has been cultivated for centuries due to its high oil content. Until the late 1970s, rapeseed oil was used primarily in industrial applications because of its high erucic acid content.
With the development of the „canola 00” variety, which has a low erucic acid content, rapeseed has become an essential crop for both humans and animals. In North America, this variety has become known as „canola”.
