Organic Sesame Oil, refined
Our refined (organic) sesame oil is light yellow in color, with a mild, neutral aroma.
Refined sesame oil is often used as an ingredient in creams, masks, hair care products, body oils, and other cosmetic formulations. Refined sesame oil is also frequently used as a carrier oil and blends well with a wide range of cosmetic ingredients.
Sesame oil is obtained by cold-pressing sesame seeds. The oil is then filtered and refined. We also offer food-grade organic sesame oil, as well as cold-pressed (steamed) organic sesame oil.
Interesting things
Sesame is an annual plant that produces small, versatile seeds highly valued in the food and oil industries. The plant grows 10–120 cm tall and features flowers in shades of white or reddish. Its seeds, found in compact brown capsules 2–3 cm long and 0.5–1 cm wide, vary in color from yellowish-white to reddish, brownish, or black, with each capsule containing 80–100 seeds.
China is the leading producer of sesame oil, while Sudan and India remain the world's main sources of sesame seeds.
