The use of organic hazelnut oil in the cosmetics industry

Organic hazelnut oil ranges in color from pale yellow to golden yellow and has a distinct nutty aroma

Thanks to its pleasant sensory characteristics, light texture when applied to the skin, and how well it spreads, the cosmetics industry uses organic hazelnut oil in a variety of products. Massage oils, skincare products, lotions, creams, shampoos, and hair care products are just a few examples.

Ripe hazelnuts are typically harvested from late August through late October, depending on where they are grown. Once they reach maturity, the hazelnuts undergo a specific processing method that removes moisture, so that the hazelnuts can be turned into oil using the cold-pressing method. We also offer refined hazelnut oil for the cosmetics industry and organic food-grade hazelnut oil.

Interesting facts

Hazel trees and shrubs belong to the birch family, and their nuts are considered the only original nut variety native to Europe. Hazelnuts are believed to have spread across continental Europe around 8,000 years ago. The flowers bloom in winter and range in color from yellow to green or red. The nuts themselves contain approximately 65% vegetable oil.
