Jojoba Oil, cold-pressed
Our jojoba seed oil is a golden-yellow liquid with a distinctive aroma.
Unlike most vegetable oils, jojoba oil contains liquid wax esters that have a structure similar to that of human sebum. That is why it is highly valued in the cosmetics industry.
Jojoba oil is widely used as a cosmetic ingredient in hair care and styling products, such as shampoos, hair oils, pomades, styling lotions, and hair sprays. It is also frequently used in decorative cosmetics, including lipsticks and makeup products. In skincare formulations, jojoba oil is commonly used in soaps, creams, beard care products, after-sun products, and face masks.
Jojoba oil is obtained by grinding and cold-pressing the ripe seeds of the jojoba shrub (Simmondsia chinensis). We also offer organic cold-pressed jojoba seed oil.
Interesting things
Native to the deserts of North America, the jojoba plant (Simmondsia chinensis) is well adapted to hot, dry climates. Today, it is cultivated in several countries, including the United States, Argentina, Israel, Mexico, and Peru. The United States is among the leading global producers.
