Organic Hazelnut Oil and its use in the food industry

Our organic hazelnut oil is a versatile oil, suitable for a wide range of applications in food production. Its natural nutty flavor blends well in both savory and sweet recipes.

Cold-pressed hazelnut oil can be used in salads, dressings, and quickly sautéed dishes, as well as in baked goods, pancakes, fruit yogurts, or desserts. The oil is also suitable for use in chocolate creams or hazelnut‑nougat creams.

Many of our customers in the confectionery sector combine our organic hazelnut oil with our organic hazelnut flour and our organic cocoa butter.

Production

To produce our organic hazelnut oil, we use roasted, dried, peeled, and chopped hazelnuts. These are cold-pressed in a gentle mechanical process that preserves the natural characteristics of the raw material.

Interesting facts

Hazel trees and shrubs belong to the birch family, and their nuts are considered the only original nut variety native to Europe. Hazelnuts are believed to have spread across continental Europe around 8,000 years ago. The flowers bloom in winter and range in color from yellow to green or red. The nuts themselves contain approximately 65% vegetable oil.
