Organic Cocoa Butter and its use in the food industry

Our organic cocoa butter is a vegan, gluten- and lactose-free ingredient used in the food industry, particularly for chocolate, pralines, glazes, nougat, and pastries.

Cocoa butter is obtained by pressing, filtering, or centrifuging the fat from cocoa beans or cocoa mass. The product has a creamy white to yellow color, a delicate characteristic aroma, and a mild to intense cocoa flavor.

Beyond its role in food applications, the same quality and stability make organic cocoa butter a choice for the cosmetics industry, where it is valued for its emollient properties.

Interesting facts

The cacao tree (Theobroma cacao) is an evergreen plant that can reach 10-15 meters in height and is cultivated as a shrub. Its fruits are short, thick, cucumber-shaped pods containing about 60 seeds. The pulp is juicy, with a pleasant sweet-sour taste, and the pods change color from green to yellow, yellow-orange, or red when ripe, during the ripening and drying processes of the beans.
