The use of Organic Cocoa Butter in the cosmetics industry
Our organic cocoa butter has a distinctive cocoa aroma and is made from 100% cocoa sourced from certified organic cultivation. Cocoa butter is a vegan, lactose-free product that is solid at room temperature and has a yellowish-white color.
In cosmetic formulations, organic cocoa butter is valued for its texture and skin-care properties. The butter is commonly used in body butters, creams, lotions, soaps, bath additives, lip care products, hand and nail creams, foot care products, and hair masks. Organic cocoa butter can also be used as a thickening agent in cosmetic emulsions.
Organic cocoa butter is obtained by pressing cocoa beans or cocoa mass and filtering or centrifuging the resulting fat. We also offer organic cocoa butter for the food industry.
Interesting things
The cacao tree (Theobroma cacao) is an evergreen plant that can reach 10-15 meters in height and is cultivated as a shrub. Its fruits are short, thick, cucumber-shaped pods containing about 60 seeds. The pulp is juicy, with a pleasant sweet-sour taste, and the pods change color from green to yellow, yellow-orange, or red when ripe, during the ripening and drying processes of the beans.
