Organic Macadamia nut oil and its use in the food industry
Our organic macadamia oil has a light yellow to beige color and a mild nutty aroma. Macadamia nut oil is suitable for adding extra flavor to sweet and savory dishes: desserts, smoothies, salads, marinades, or soups.
Due to its relatively high smoke point of 210 degrees Celsius, organic macadamia oil is also suitable for frying.
Organic macadamia oil is also known for its high content of palmitoleic acid (Omega-7), a monounsaturated fatty acid rarely found in other vegetable oils.
Our organic macadamia oil is obtained from ripe Macadamia integrifolia/Macadamia tetraphylla nuts by cold pressing and subsequent filtration.
Interesting facts
Macadamia integrifolia/Macadamia tetraphylla are evergreen trees with hard leaves that can reach heights of 12-15m and live for over 50 years. After about 5 years, the fruits appear, and maximum yield is reached after about 10 years.
