Jojoba oil, also called jojoba seed oil, is chemically more a liquid wax than a vegetable oil. To obtain jojoba wax (jojoba oil), the ripe seeds are ground and then cold pressed. In the cosmetics industry, it is used as an ingredient in cosmetic products for skin and hair cleansing and care, as well as in decorative cosmetics. Jojoba oil is a classic ingredient in hair care and styling products such as setting gels, hairsprays, pomades, shampoos, or hair oils. It is also frequently used in decorative cosmetics like lipsticks or make-up. Due to its excellent deep action, jojoba oil is said to support the skin's moisture balance.
