Organic Sea buckthorn seed oil, cold-pressed

Our organic sea buckthorn seed oil has a light yellow to yellow color and a mild, neutral aroma

Organic sea buckthorn seed oil naturally contains fatty acids, including linoleic acid, oleic acid, and alpha-linolenic acid. Due to its fatty acid profile, sea buckthorn seed oil is often combined with other vegetable (base) oils in cosmetic formulations. The oil is generally incorporated into recipes for creams, lotions, and body oils

Organic sea buckthorn seed oil is obtained by gently cold-pressing small, organically grown sea buckthorn seeds. The gentle cold-pressing process helps preserve the oil’s natural characteristics. We also offer food-grade organic sea buckthorn fruit oil, as well as organic sea buckthorn fruit oil for the cosmetics industry.

Interesting things

Sea buckthorn (Hippophae rhamnoides) is a small, thorny, and highly branched shrub or tree. Depending on its location, it can reach heights of 1 to over 6 meters. Its branches have smooth, dark reddish-brown bark, and thorny side shoots form on two-year-old branches.

Each leaf has a prominent central vein. The male flowers are thick and brown, with a prominent stigma, while the female flowers are small and greenish-yellow. The fruits are spherical berries, bright red-orange in color.
