Organic Sea buckthorn fruit oil, cold-pressed, and its use in the food industry

Our organic sea buckthorn oil has a yellow-orange color and a distinct fruity aroma. It is a valuable oil for the food industry and can be used to flavor sauces, fruit and vegetable dishes, yogurts, smoothies, or fresh salads.

The aroma of organic sea buckthorn oil is best appreciated in cold dishes. It is not suitable for frying, as it is a natural, cold-pressed fruit oil.

The oil is obtained by gently cold-pressing dried sea buckthorn berries from certified organic crops.

Sea buckthorn fruit oil should not be confused with organic sea buckthorn seed oil, which is obtained separately from the seeds of the berries.

Interesting facts

Sea buckthorn (Hippophae rhamnoides) is a small, thorny, and highly branched shrub or tree. Depending on its location, it can reach heights of 1 to over 6 meters. Its branches have smooth, dark reddish-brown bark, and thorny side shoots form on two-year-old branches.

Each leaf has a prominent central vein. The male flowers are thick and brown, with a prominent stigma, while the female flowers are small and greenish-yellow. The fruits are spherical berries, bright red-orange in color.
