Our black cumin oil has a strong Mediterranean aroma and gives a distinctive taste to dishes such as bread, cheese, salads, stews, or sauces. The oil can be drizzled over cheese, marinated feta, or used as a sauce for flatbread.
Organic black cumin oil is rich in unsaturated fatty acids (Omega-3 and Omega-6), especially linoleic and oleic acids, and also contains important vitamins.
The distinctive taste of black cumin is noticeable even in baked goods. Our organic black cumin seed flour can be incorporated into baking recipes thanks to its characteristic aroma.
Cold-pressed organic black cumin oil
Black cumin seeds contain about 35% oil and about 2% essential oils, hence their intense, slightly peppery aroma. By gently cold-pressing the seeds, we obtain a naturally aromatic organic black cumin oil.
Interesting facts
Black cumin has been cultivated in Egypt since ancient times, and the region continues to produce some of the highest-quality seeds. It has long been valued both as a spice and for traditional uses.
The black cumin plant grows to about 30 cm and blooms from June to September with white to purple-blue flowers. As it ripens, it forms rounded capsules filled with small black seeds, which give the plant its name.
