Use of organic mango butter in the cosmetics industry
Our organic mango butter is mostly used in lip care, decorative cosmetics, and re-lipidizing soaps. Unlike some other plant butters, mango butter often leaves a cooling effect, making it suitable for after-sun products. It is also suitable for use in hair care products for particularly stressed hair.
Good to know
Mango butter has a melting behavior similar to cocoa butter. The mango butter is cold-pressed from the dried, kidney-shaped seeds found inside the yellow mango kernel. Unwanted accompanying substances are removed through refining.
As early as 1200 BC, mango was mentioned in Hindu scriptures as a symbol of wealth and divine sweetness. Mango fruits were brought to Europe in the early 16th century by Portuguese sailors returning from India.
