Organic Coconut Oil Cold Pressed
The use of Organic Coconut Oil in the cosmetics industry
Whether pure or as a base oil for other active oils, Organic Coconut Oil nourishes dry, irritated skin and dull, rough hair. At room temperature, Organic Coconut Oil is solid and is therefore also referred to as coconut fat. Upon contact with the skin, it melts, releasing a cooling effect and leaving a pleasant, non-greasy skin feel. The cosmetics industry therefore uses Organic Coconut Oil in emulsions, lip balms, and masks for irritated, reddened, and inflamed skin. It is also suitable for use in creams for sunburned skin. Besides skin care, it is also an ideal ingredient in shampoos, conditioners, or hair masks, as it is believed to have re-fatting and moisturizing effects on dull, brittle hair.
Good to know
The original home of the coconut palm is likely the Malay Archipelago. Today, it is widespread in all tropical regions due to the favorable climate with salty sea air and especially the buoyancy of the coconut.
Our Organic Coconut Oil is obtained by crushing and subsequently cold pressing the so-called copra, the fatty, dried endosperm or kernel flesh of the coconut.
