Organic Amaranth Oil and Its Use in the Food Industry

Amaranth is also known as a pseudo-grain without containing gluten, which is harmful to some people. Due to its grain-like taste, which will remind you of millet, our amaranth oil goes perfectly with salads, dips, and fruit yoghurts. Other fruity desserts and bars also get a nice flavor with the amaranth oil. Try our organic amaranth oil with salmon or other fish dishes and find out how well the two go together. Our amaranth flour is also suitable as a fish breadcrumb.

The organic amaranth oil, which is obtained from the cold-pressed seeds of the amaranth impresses with its high-quality ingredients: it is rich in unsaturated fatty acids, minerals, and iron.

Trivia

Its alternative names as Inca wheat or grain amaranth oil indicate its original use: Even the Aztecs, Inca and Maya used the grain-like amaranth oil seeds as important sources of protein.

The “Inca wheat” comes from the temperate and warmer areas of eastern and central South America, especially the Andes, and reaches a height of up to 1.20 m. The flowers of the amaranth oil are purple-red and hang down when they are fully developed.

We cold-press the small, black amaranth oil seeds to obtain our valuable amaranth oil.
