Organic Litsea Cubeba Oil (May-Chang-Oil) 

The organic Litsea Cubeba essential oil (also known as May Chang oil) is pale yellow in colour and is characterised by an intense, sweet-fresh, lemony aroma with delicate floral notes.

In the cosmetics and fragrance industry, organic Litsea Cubeba essential oil is used as a versatile fragrance ingredient. Its fresh citrus character makes it particularly suitable for fragrancing soaps, detergents, cleaning products, and a wide range of personal care and household products. Interesting Things

Litsea cubeba belongs to the Lauraceae (laurel) family and is therefore botanically related to bay laurel, avocado, and cinnamon.

Although Litsea cubeba has an intense lemon-like aroma, it is not a citrus plant. Its fresh scent is primarily due to the naturally occurring aroma compound citral.
