Organic Sandalwood Oil
The Organic Sandalwood Oil is obtained by steam distillation of the chipped heartwood of the sandalwood tree. Its warm-balsamic fragrance evokes oriental markets and is considered a true aphrodisiac.
In naturopathy, Organic Sandalwood Oil is used in creams, massage oils, rubs, or inhalations for a variety of applications. It is said to relieve congestion and support issues like varicose veins and hemorrhoids. Additionally, it has antiseptic and skin-regenerating properties, making it useful in pharmaceutical and cosmetic creams to close small wounds and relieve itching, such as with eczema or cracked or impure skin.
Because its scent fades slowly, Organic Sandalwood Oil is also ideal as a fixative in perfumes. Most people perceive its scent as masculine, which is why many men’s perfumes contain sandalwood.
Although Organic Sandalwood Oil is not commonly used in Western cuisine, it is used in India to flavor a wide variety of foods and beverages, both alcoholic and non-alcoholic.
