Catnip Essential Oil
The essential catnip oil is colorless to yellowish and is characterised by a distinctive fresh, spicy and slightly herbal aroma.
In the cosmetics and perfume industry, catnip oil is used as a natural fragrance ingredient. Catnip oil is particularly suitable for fresh, herbal and aromatic fragrance compositions and is used in skincare products, soaps, bath products and other personal care products.
Similar fresh, herbal and spicy fragrance nuances can be found particularly in essential oils such as Organic Peppermint Oil and Organic Mint Oil.
Our catnip oil is obtained by steam distillation of the aerial parts of catnip (Nepeta cataria L.), a member of the Lamiaceae family (mint family).
