Organic Cistus Oil
The organic cistus oil, obtained by steam distillation of the leaves and twig tips of the rockrose plant, releases its wonderful aroma best in combination with carrier oils, even better than in its concentrated form.
In natural medicine, the organic cistus oil is recommended against certain bacterial and viral strains. As a bath additive, rub, ointment, or inhalation addition, it is said to support the immune system. It is also believed to have a blood-stopping, wound-healing effect and strengthen blood vessel walls.
The cosmetics industry uses the organic cistus oil in anti-acne care. The antiseptic properties of this slightly crumpled-looking rose species oil help rebalance oily, impure, and inflamed skin.
In aromatherapy, the organic cistus oil is considered a “meditation oil” and is said to calm and provide warmth after shock situations.
The organic cistus oil pairs well with bergamot, cajeput, lavender, mandarin, patchouli, peppermint, rosemary, sandalwood, frankincense, ylang-ylang, and lemon.
