Organic Wheat Germ Oil CO2 Extraction
The oil is extracted from wheat germs using CO2. Extraction with carbon dioxide takes place at max. 50°C. Compared to mechanical pressing, this ensures significantly lower temperature exposure. Our organic wheat germ oil has a light orange to dark orange or brownish color and a characteristic, intense, oily taste.
Use in natural medicine/phytotherapy/pharmacy:
Wheat germ oil is used as an ingredient in the production of wound ointments and powders.
Use in the food industry: Organic wheat germ oil is very suitable for salads
as well as all kinds of vegetable, potato, and pasta dishes. In diet programs, wheat germ oil is often included.
Wheat is a 60 to 120 cm tall grass with parallel-veined leaves about 30 cm long and pointed. The wheat kernels (fruits) are golden yellow to brownish, egg-shaped grains that have a longitudinal groove on the inside and a tuft of hair at the tip, the so-called "beard." Inside the kernels is the germ, which contains 7–12% fatty oil.
