The walnut tree is native to Asia, Europe, and North America. It thrives in fertile, well-drained soils and is commonly found in deciduous mixed forests. The walnut tree can reach a height of 10 to 25 meters. Young walnut trees have smooth, gray bark that becomes deeply fissured and dark with age.
