Organic Avocado Oil Refined

The use of organic avocado oil in the cosmetics industry

The organic avocado oil is a true all-rounder in the cosmetics industry. Thanks to its high palmitoleic acid content, it is well tolerated, spreads well, and nourishes skin and hair intensively. Additionally, the skin is said to better retain moisture, allowing it to absorb further care products even better. A regenerative effect is also attributed to organic avocado oil, which is said to support the natural barrier function. Thus, organic avocado oil is especially suitable in massage oils, creams, shampoos, and soaps for dry, cracked, heavily stressed skin and brittle hair.

Interesting facts

The avocado is a single-seeded, usually fist-sized berry with dark green to dark red skin, inside which the round seed is surrounded by flesh. The flesh is suitable not only for producing avocado oil but also for raw consumption. The seed or pit accounts for up to 12% of the fruit.

Unlike most other oils, the organic avocado oil is extracted not from the seed of the pit but from the flesh of the avocado. The best-known flesh oil is certainly olive oil.
