Organic Black Cumin Oil (Egypt) cold pressed

Organic Black cumin oil and its use in the food industry

Our black cumin oil offers a bold, Mediterranean seasoning that pairs wonderfully with bread, cheese, salads, stews, and sauces. Drizzle over cheese platters, marinate feta, or use as a dip for flatbreads.

Besides its organic quality, our black cumin oil is rich in unsaturated fatty acids (Omega-3 and Omega-6), especially linoleic and oleic acids, and vitamins.

Its strong taste also works well in baking. Try our black cumin flour.

Did you know?

Since the time of the Pharaohs, black cumin has been growing in Egypt, producing some of the finest oil seeds. It has long been valued as both a spice and a remedy.

The name black cumin is somewhat misleading – botanically, it is unrelated to cumin or caraway and actually belongs to the buttercup family. In Germany, it was once known as “bread spice.”

The black cumin plant grows to about 30 cm high and blooms from June to September in white to violet-blue. When mature, it forms round capsules containing the small black seeds.

The seeds contain about 35% oil and around 2% essential oils, giving them their intense, peppery flavor. We extract our aromatic black cumin oil through gentle cold pressing.
