The use of Organic Coconut Oil in the cosmetics industry

Our organic coconut oil is white in color and has a characteristic, delicate coconut scent. Coconut oil is solid at temperatures below approximately 20 °C and becomes liquid at temperatures between approximately 24 °C and 29 °C.

Organic coconut oil is obtained by pressing dried coconut meat (copra). For this purpose, fresh coconut meat is dried and then pressed.

In cosmetic formulations, organic coconut oil is valued for its fine texture and skin-care properties. The oil melts upon contact with the skin and leaves a pleasant, non-greasy sensation.

Organic coconut oil is commonly used in emulsions, lip care products, masks, shampoos, conditioners, and hair treatments. Cold-pressed coconut oil is suitable for cosmetic skin and hair care formulations and is often used as a carrier oil in combination with other cosmetic oils. We also offer organic coconut oil for the food industryas well as refined organic coconut oil.

Interesting things

The coconut palm (Cocos nucifera) most likely originates from the Malay Archipelago. Today, it is widespread throughout all tropical regions, thriving in favorable climates and benefiting from the buoyancy of its fruit, which facilitates natural dispersal through water, a mechanism known as hydrochory.

The coconut tree has a tall, columnar trunk, 30-35 m high, without branches, often slightly curved at the base, crowned with large, feathery leaves. The fruits, coconuts, grow in clusters under the leaves. A mature palm tree can produce 60-160 nuts per year, depending on the variety and growing conditions.
