Organic safflower oil is suitable for cooking. Due to its unsaturated fatty acid content, organic safflower oil is not heat-stable, so it is not suitable for fryingRefined safflower oil, however, can be used for frying applications due to its higher heat stability.

Safflower oil is particularly suitable for vegetable dishes, being added before serving. With a high oleic acid content, organic safflower oil is ideal for light sauces, salads, soups, and dips in the food industry.

The ancient Egyptians also used safflower’s coloring properties to dye mummy cloths.

Safflower grows quickly to a final height of up to 1.30 meters. Its leaves are thorny, and the flower resembles a small basket from which up to 150 orange-yellow tubular florets emerge.
