Sea buckthorn fruit oil organic cold pressed

The use of organic sea buckthorn fruit oil in the cosmetics industry

Natural cosmetics containing sea buckthorn fruit oil are often advertised with firming, repairing, or revitalizing properties. The sea buckthorn fruit oil is said to contain natural UV protection, so it is found in both sunscreens and aftersun products. Scaly, itchy skin and scalp should be soothed by the oil. Problematic skin in general is supposed to be strengthened, protected against harmful external environmental influences, and smoothed. Combined with other base oils, it creates a little miracle weapon in natural cosmetics.

If you want other sea buckthorn products, no problem—we also supply sea buckthorn kernel oil and a sea buckthorn peeling.

Interesting facts

We gently cold-press dried sea buckthorn fruits from controlled organic cultivation to produce our organic sea buckthorn fruit oil.

Depending on the location, sea buckthorn is a very branching, thorny, willow-like shrub 1–3.5 m high or a strongly branched, upright tree over 6 m tall. The unevenly and stiffly protruding branches have smooth, dark reddish-brown bark. Thorny side shoots form on the two-year-old branches. The leaves are initially sea-green or matte green with star hairs and turn reddish to rusty brown in autumn. Lengthwise, the leaves have a raised vein. Male flowers are thick brown with a protruding stigma; female flowers are small and green-yellowish. The fruits are bright orange-red, spherical pseudo-berries.
