Organic Chia flour
Use in the food industry. From the so-called superfood chia seeds, we obtain not only valuable chia oil but also chia flour — both in organic quality. The list of uses for chia flour is long: it is suitable for desserts, baked goods, bread, smoothies, or salad dressings. Because it binds well, chia flour is suitable as a sauce thickener or as an egg substitute in vegan baked goods. It also impresses with its high fiber content, which is important for longer-lasting satiety.
Chia (Salvia hispanica) belongs to the sage family. The chia plant is herbaceous, winter-hardy, and grows up to 90 cm high with 3 stems. The thick, dark green leaves are covered with tiny, soft hairs on the upper side. The flowers are small and blue. Each flower cluster contains a seed head that carries the tiny gray or brown seeds.
