Organic Rosehip seed flour and its use in the food industry
Our organic rosehip seed flour has a reddish-brown color and a slightly fruity taste. Rosehip flour is rich in fiber and a source of protein.
Organic rosehip flour can be incorporated into recipes for muesli, smoothies, baked goods, fruit bars, or even cakes. Depending on the recipe, it can be used as a flavorful alternative to wheat flour.
To obtain the flour, organic rosehip seeds are gently cold-pressed to extract organic rosehip seed oil. The remaining press cake is then finely milled into organic rosehip seed flour.
Interesting facts
The rosehip shrub is a tall shrub with arching branches and curved thorns. Its leaves are pinnate, and its pink flowers grow on short, smooth stems. The red, round to oval rosehips are fleshy flower cups. The actual fruits are the small, hard achenes located inside.
