Organic Sunflower Oil LO, refined

Our refined sunflower oil (linoleic) has a light yellow to yellow color and a mild, neutral odor.

Produced from carefully selected sunflower seeds (Helianthus annuus), refined linoleic sunflower oil is used as an ingredient in creams, lotions, ointments, massage oils, soaps, and other cosmetic and personal care formulations. Its light texture, skin compatibility, and oxidative stability make it a versatile carrier oil for a wide range of applications.

Refined (linoleic) sunflower oil is obtained by cold pressing sunflower seeds, followed by a refining process. We also offer cold-pressed organic sunflower oil (linoleic) and organic sunflower oil with a high oleic acid content.

Interesting things

The sunflower (Helianthus annuus) is native to North America and has gradually spread southward. Among the Incas, it held symbolic significance and was revered as a representation of the sun. At the end of the 16th century, it was brought to Europe by Spanish explorers.

The sunflower plant grows to a height of one to two meters. Before blooming, its bud tracks the sun from east to west during the day, but once the flower opens, it generally remains facing east.
